What an AMAZING spot!!!! Food - 10/10. Ambiance 10/10. Customer service 10/10. Kid friendly 10/10. Where do I even start with this place?!? First of all this location is beyond enjoyable and adorable and very very very kid friendly. It's basically a small center with various buildings that are not yet inhabited by businesses. Smoke Queen is the one that's up and running so it's pretty empty (but in a good way) there is sooooo much seating and there are endless activities for kids. A music wall, a giant chalk wall for drawing, teepees, a sand box with toys, a little basketball hoop and balls, a grassy hill to climb - just an absolutely amazing place for kids to run around while I enjoy my wine haha. We got the feed 6 meal - we tried every kind of meat they make and our 6 sides were Mac and cheese, fries (2), spicy cucumbers, coleslaw and ube cheesecake. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and this fed all of us just fine. Granted I'm not the biggest meat eater, but my husband eats enough for both of us haha. My favorite meats were the crispy pork belly (wooooowza) and the pulled pork. So so so good! My favorite side was the spicy cucumbers! The portions were great - the fries were especially huge! The Ube cheesecake was delicious. I've already bragged about this place to like 5 people...They have happy hour all day Friday, twist my arm. Seriously, I can't think of a negative thing to say about this place! I'm just dreading this place getting more popular and all the people that will inevitably show up - but I suppose that's what the businesses want super great experience and we will 1,000,000% be back soon!

Ordered all the 2 pork bellies, ribs, slaw, pickles, fries, and mac and cheese. The family platter is the deal! Everything was delicious, seasoned and cooked well. The fries could be a little crispier but biased cause I'm generally whatever about crinkles. The meats had unique flavors and the bbq sauces were Asian influences which was also unique. I will be back to my wife can try!

Such a cute little spot! This Asian-fusion BBQ joint is tucked into a quiet corner of a Garden Grove neighborhood, and it totally gives off fun, laid-back campground vibes. It's all outdoor seating, with a big back patio that's perfect for kids - so many little play areas to keep them happy and busy! We tried a bit of everything, and honestly, the char siu pork belly stole the show - super fatty, flavorful, and melt in your mouth delish! The siu yuk had that perfect crispy skin, and the brisket was smoky and satisfying too! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area - I'd totally come back again!

We came on a Sunday afternoon for a large party. Don't worry, there is plenty of seating and a playground for the kiddies. Take that with a grain of salt because this place gets crowded. Overall the food is pretty damn good. If we subtract the "Asian fusion" attached to their brand, the quality of the BBQ is phenomenal. Tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection is pretty time consuming, so you gotta understand the pricing when it comes to good BBQ. Got the Beef Rib, which is available on Sunday only. This had that sweeter/Asian style of flavoring and it was delicious. Cornbread, phenomenal. Fries? Debatable amongst us. I liked the tallow flavor, others thought it tastes odd. Desserts: the Ube Cheesecake is a must. This is a definite try... however choose your arrival wisely. The line can stretch all the way down to block if you come at peak hours.

What a nice find! This BBQ spot is tucked just on the edge of a residential neighborhood in Garden Grove. It's all outdoor seating. You order at the counter and they buzz you when your order is ready. We ordered the ribs, coleslaw, dirty rice, pork belly, tallow fries and a bbq sandwich. I thought the star of the show was the dirty rice soup- it had so much flavor! The pork belly was crispy and tender and I dunked it in their original sauce which was tasty. The ribs were good, meat came easily off the bone. The tallow fries were crispy and delicious. We didn't finish everything so had a nice to-go bag for later. I would definitely go back since I didn't get to try the corn bread!

I am no a huge fan of American BBQ because it all tastes the same to me after a while, but Asian BBQ is a different story. I feel like there are more dimensions to the flavors in Asian food. I was very impressed by this place especially with their pork belly. I usually hate fried pig. You usually have it at like some huge celebration and I always try to avoid it because it's dry, flavorless, and just not appealing, but theirs is so good. The skin is so crispy and it's not very thick. I'm not sure how they did it but it was like a pork rind consistency. It was probably the best fried pig I've ever tried. They're Asian inspired sides were amazing as well. I love the fried rice with the sausage, and the chili was so good. Way better than a regular American chili with just beans. At first when you ordered they said they ran out of brisket and I love brisket so I was very disappointed. Fortunately someone in the back was able to find some more and we were able to try it and it was delicious so thank you for that. I'm glad I didn't miss out that day. We ordered like sampler of meats and sides. The best thing about this place is its location. Like you can sit outside inside a teepee and have your kids play in a old bus or a big sandbox. The Courtyard area is the cutest thing. And I love how there's a community garden as well. This is so perfect for people with young kids. You can let them run around and play while you enjoy a meal with your friends. There are picnic tables everywhere so you can just find a spot and just relax.

Made our way back here again! Perfect timing with no wait...yay! Same friendly and helpful service upon entering. We ordered 3 meats and 3 sides (Brisket, Chashu, Siu Yuk, Sesame Slaw, Spicy Cukes, and Mapu Chili). Nice touch having picture variations on the wall, which helped us decide how much food to order...LOL! It was a gorgeous day, and we devoured everything outside on the patio. Happy eating till next time...

We been here twice in the last week. First time on President's Day and the place was empty. Second time on a Sunday and the place was packed. Bot parking areas were full and had to look for parking on the street. But one thing was the same. The food was delish. Our favorite is the beef rib. It's only available on weekends/holidays. It is sooo tender and moist. One rib is $45 but it's a lot of meat. Our other favorite is the Siu Yuk which is crispy pork. Once again the meat is moist and tender and the crispy skin is better than any in San Gabriel Valley. The restaurant is located in an interesting compound called Cottage Industries. It's a series of structures dotted with picnic tables and playpen for kids. There's lots of umbrellas for shading and everything is clean and very well kept. I can't recommend SQBBQ enough. Definitely a must try.

SQBBQ is a wide menu, but let's get to the star of the show - Texas style smoked Brisket. The flat. Lacking bark. I believe the fat was over trimmed. Was somewhat dry, so the rest and hold overnight was dehydrated. They could have foil wrapped with tallow to prevent the dryness. Just my two cents... But the crispy pork belly cubes were perfectly executed. Light and crispy fat layer, and tender and juicy meat layer. The star of the show. The Korean sauce also stellar. SQBBQ has its own unique twists to BBQ. But for a backyard offset smoke warrior like me, I frankly think the Texas brisket is a little off in execution. But for an overall BBQ experience with a wide menu, SQBBQ is a solid five stars.

Walk by this unassuming cabin and you'll be hooked by the massive smokers in the front. It's like stepping into someone's cozy country home, but with more smoke and less, you know, dust bunnies. My Valentine's Day lunch? Not that romantic but definitely memorable. . It was just me and this random dude I met from Tinder at 1:30 p.m. on a Friday--guess everyone else was waiting for dinner to hit. We went all in with the 4 meats, 4 sides deal for 4 people. No, we didn't finish it all. Yes, we wanted to try everything because who's got time for restraint? And yes, I wanted to test this dude on whether he would judge my food intake. Beef Brisket: 3/5 - The smoke ring was on point, but flavor? Meh. It needed salt or a kick. Pork Ribs: 4/5 - Smoked like a pro. I'd definitely swipe right on these. Char Sui: 5/5 - This stuff is decadent. Must. Have. Every. Time. Sui Yuk: 10/5 - So crispy I might be Naming my next child after this. Cheese & Shells: 2/5 - Basically Velveeta's cool cousin. Needed depth. Ma Pa Chili: 4/5 - More of a "eat it with rice" situation. But hey, still tasty! Tallow Fries: 5/5 - Crisp, golden perfection. Cornbread: 6/5 - definitely don't miss out on this one. Butter the crap outta this and inhale. Lunch was a win. If this guy's paying again, I'll probably take him back here.
